A native Californian, Dan’s first painting job began when he was 16 years old, painting apartments on Balboa Island. He started with just a sleeping bag, radio, and surfboard to his name, and continued painting California. In addition to working as a painting contractor, Dan became a roofing and waterproofing contractor, then worked in building restoration. After his 30 year career, Dan was licensed as a California licensed industry expert, and worked as an independent expert helping to settle disputes.
He became a New Mexican four years ago, when he and his wife “chased grandchildren” to the land of enchantment. His daughter worked at Teach for America, and her family has lived in New Mexico ever since. Dan has six grandsons and one granddaughter.
Dan joined the Southwest Home Solutions team two years ago. In his role, Dan manages progress at all properties in the Albuquerque area, managing the team and working with subcontractors and vendors.
When he is not working or spending time with his grandchildren, Dan enjoys fly fishing in the Pecos. He also enjoys oil painting.
